The 2011 registration fee is $50.
Decide which type of car you wish to build by reading about the Race Divisions. The Derby Director will be able to help you with this information. You might want to look for a sponsor to help underwrite the cost of your racer. You will normally need to purchase a car assembly kit and a set of Z-Glass Racing Wheels.
Read the official plans and build your car exactly as the instruction indicate. Plan to attend a construction clinic to help you understand the regulations and guide you in building a safe and competitive car.

Division Winners: The Stock, Super Stock and Masters Division winners in the local race will receive a stipend to help with expenses to represent Hopkinsville at the National Soap Box Derby contest in Akron, Ohio.
